After my return from vacation I will be starting a new SQL Snacks series, titled “A deep dive into the data lake with Kusto” where I will first show you the relevant Microsoft services such as Log Analytics that leverage the Kusto Query Language (KQL) as well as some of the varied editors you can use to write and test your KQL queries.
Then, we will start to learn all the major language elements one bite at a time.

Is Kusto the heir apparent to U-SQL?
No, it is primarily for text based analysis. Similar to Splunk.
