Its a new year, and time to fire up the blog machine again.
With the current emphasis on Open Source Software and DevOps, I will be starting several series of SQL Snacks™.
One series will focus on the tools and techniques that are used to migrate Open Source Software (OSS) databases from on-premise to the Azure SQL Database equivalents. I plan on covering many of the Microsoft provided tools, and of course as the Toolman I will be writing and sharing other tools as well!
The second series will focus on DevOps and how SQL Server fits into the CI/CD pipeline story. We will look at both Docker and Kubernetes technologies. Of course, we will also have to examine SQL Server on Linux as part of the discussion.
